SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) — Getting to the pinnacle takes a good mix. You need to be grounded in reality but you also have to shoot for the stars. That is the formula JJ Williams, a young weightlifter with dreams of going to the Olympics, is following.

"I believe I had it in me to go to the next level and go to the Olympics in 2028, I'm still very young, I'm 23 years old. With the amount of experience I have physically, I have what it takes to make it there and make it a real career," said Williams, a Summerville native.

He knows that his ability and potential to make the team are there, and he's far from reaching the limit of either.
