Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening, Bye Bye Birdie, War Horse) returns for a very brief appearance as Eric's boyfriend Jonathan on The CW's Gossip Girl, Episode 2.13, "Oh Brother, Where Bart Thou?" on December 8, 2008.

Note: There was a scene planned for this episode that was cut before filming, in which Jonathan explained that Bart had been trying to manipulate Eric, and that Jonathan had not cheated on Eric with the captain of the swim team.
