This is an afternoon project to create storage for smaller items. In this form, you can have 8 drawers with dimensions roughly 5" tall, 9" wide and 13" deep. My dimensions are specifically to fit into my shelving rack.
This is project is medium complexity just because it requires a lot of attention to calibration details.
Buy List (I can't remember exactly, but less than $20):
2 1x4x10'
8 5x9x13 bins
1" screws (for rails)
1 1/2" screws
Tools:
Kreg Jig (or other pocket hole jig)
Table saw
Compound miter
Power drill
Cut list (all from 1x4 stock):
4 - 20" ripped in half to make 8 total
1 - 21 5/8" ripped in half to make 2
3 - 9 5/8" ripped in half to make 6
1 - 19 5/8" ripped in half to make 2
3 - 13" ripped to 7/16"; should make roughly 18 rails; you'll need 16
*The front upright on the two outer frames needs to have 3/4" ripped off to allow a flush mount to the front frame and still align in the back.
Happy building!
