Sleep eating with sleeping pills. It's not that uncommon and we call it complex sleep behaviors. Other behaviors include sleep driving, sleep eating and sleep texting. Sleep driving is commonly associated with the sleeping medication, Ambien, but any sleeping pill has the potential to cause this problem.

Here are 4 factors that increase your risk of experiencing complex sleep behaviors after you take a sleeping pill.
1. Taking more than the recommended maximum of the drug. This is easy to do with Ambien because it will frequently stop working after taking for several days.
2. Taking too close to the time you want to wake up.
3. Taking with another sedating medication or substance (such as the sleeping pills and alcohol mix).
4. Having a history of sleep walking.
