Michael and Dukie temporarily escape the horrors of corner life for a day by visiting a theme park, but upon returning they're quickly reminded of how relentlessly harsh their reality is.

🎥 DIRECTOR’S NOTES 🎬

🎬 This Scene Remix juxtaposes the horrors of the corner with what seems like the society of another planet via the girls that Michael and Dukie meet at Six Flags, or at least a society where crime and potentially being killed are not the central focuses of existence.

🎬 I didn't think that any context was needed to explain the initial scene with Michael talking to Chris and Snoop, as it does a good job explaining itself and building tension that's vented in the next scene I cut down showing Michael pensive and hunched over.

🎬 I made this Scene Remix because I love the Nice Dolphin punchline, so to set that up you just need to see why Michael was feeling bad, which was the shooting, then Dukie suggesting/them going on the Six Flags trip, and then both of them getting a reality check as soon as they step out of their taxi back onto the corner.

🎬 I used 6 different scenes from The Wire S05E2-3 to make this Scene Remix.

🎬 If you've noticed, I try to keep the intros fresh. I made this entire Scene Remix in Davinci Resolve, which is a first for me since I've made all the others in iMovie on my phone. If the framerate is weak or anything looks off let me know.
