In this video I use my new TYM T574 tractor to hold a log while I buck it into firewood size pieces.

This is also the first time I have used a chain that I re-sharpened myself. This is a Hackberry log, about 20' long, ranging from 18-12" thick. The saw cut really well, looking forward to more use to see how the chain resharpening job holds up!

I'm using "The Perfect Stick" as my measuring tool; and my trusty MS290 Stihl chainsaw. While I am known to be rather fond of my old, quirky Echo saws, I bought this Stihl over 20 years ago and it's still one of my main, all-round go-to saws!

Apologies for one end of the log not being in-frame, and also apologies for my head not being in frame at the end (but who wants to see this ugly mug anyway?)

Thanks for watching!
