Andy Lin wrote in a comment that he thinks hardware noise filters are always better than software but I'd say software solutions can be as good or may soon outperform hardware. I am very impressed by the couple of "bhi" noise eliminating hardware boxes that I have and the little miracles they perform but the software is improved all the time, as in this KiwiSDR2 here. There might even be settings that I haven't figured out yet.
