Hey sim racers, this is my first youtube video and I have decided to make it on the re-greasing process for the Logitech G27 Racing Wheel. To save time I have decided not to include the entire disassembling process, there are many videos online explaining how to remove the wheel rim and top cover. This video was really just for practice and to review the R/c Lube-XP and R/c Lube-MXP products I am using to grease the G27 moving components. In the end I found both greases to be of very high quality. I did notice an improvement in the overall feel on my G27 however this grease was actually designed for r/c applications and I believe these products will do exceptionally well in rc gearing applications as well as many other mechanical applications such as the g25/27. I currently work as a tech at a hobby shop and will be experimenting with this product for various r/c applications. In regards to the G27, I found these products provided a noticeable reduction in physical vibration when rotating the wheel. While this wont make the wheel spin more freely as that resistance is created by the motors and not the gears it will provide a smoother overall feel. The main purpose of this re-greasing was not necessarily to enhance the feel (although it definitely did) but to achieve the best possible lubrication without using any products that could potentially damage the plastic components. These products are 100% safe for plastic-plastic, metal-plastic, and metal-metal contact situations such as pinion/spur gears, r/c transmissions, and many other applications requiring plastic safe lubricants. Thank you for watching, please subscribe to my channel to see more videos to come including videos of my diy mods to my Logitech g27 pedals and shifter paddles as well as the two Fanatec wheels I will be picking up in a couple days.
