Have you ever wondered how a hockey ice arena is painted? Here's a quick look into the process at Mount Prospect Ice Arena's 3rd sheet being completed this month.

Take a look behind the scenes while they prep the surface with white paint, trace the lines and circles, and measure everything out. Lastly they will apply the paint for the hockey rink lines, circles, face off dots, goal creases and seal it with several layers of water / ice. The process isn't completed until they build up the sheet and place any final graphics, and continue to build on top of that.
