In this week’s landscape photography film I’m at Tiger’s Clough, Rivington in Lancashire for an autumn woodland wander and wade in the waterfall to capture the late autumn colours and the force of the falls in full spate.

The waterfall at Tiger's Clough is situated on the River Douglas in an attractive shady ravine accessible via a short and pleasant woodland walk.

There is a picturesque knoll overlooking the waterfall from where I start my photography journey, capturing the beech trees, autumn colours and woodland scenes.

Descending the bank down to the river it was time to wade into the water to set up for a couple of images of the waterfall. In full spate, the far river bank and other waterfalls were inaccessible and it was far too precarious and dangerous to attempt a crossing. Instead, I scouted around for a few intimate shots down by the river’s edge but hope to return another time to explore the far bank and seek out compositions from that side.
