On April 15, 2023, Afropop Worldwide curated an evening of music at the Eisenhower Theatre at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. It was one of the final nights of the RiverRun Festival. The concert evoked the music of two African rivers, the Niger and the Congo. This video features clips from the first half of the night with the Niger River Ensemble, a collective of musicians from countries bordering the Niger River. It ends with the Congo River finale with Bokilo and the Kinshasa Allstars.
