"Sounds Like America" was the spirited opening number of Andy Williams' "America the Beautiful," a 1987-88 touring show that highlighted his recording and television career and featured several new production numbers dedicated to Irving Berlin, George M. Cohan, the big band era, and gospel music.

Although "America the Beautiful" didn't catch on the way Andy had hoped, he continued to incorporate the production numbers into his concerts, television specials, and shows at his Moon River Theatre in Branson, MO. Gone, however, was "Sounds Like America" -- but here is a rare capture of it at an "America the Beautiful" show in New Jersey in June 1988. Andy is backed by the Glenn Miller Orchestra, conducted by Richard Kaufman.

The video was produced exclusively for Andy's U.S. fan club at the time, Friends of Andy Williams.
