This is an old-fashioned slow cooker recipe for delicious apple butter – a cozy taste of autumn! This recipe makes seven half-pint (8 oz.) jelly jars of apple butter.

INGREDIENTS:

6 lbs of apples, cored and sliced (I used Fuji. The smaller the pieces you start with, the quicker they will cook!)
2 cups white sugar (You can use all white sugar if you prefer, but I don't think I would use all brown sugar.)
2 cups brown sugar
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
~ 1/8 tsp. allspice
