Here I (Tanis Leonhardi; she/her/hers; of Seattle) talk through the Letsile Tebogo (of Botswana), 200 metres dash race at the 2024 Wanda Diamond League final in Brussels, Belgium (time of 19.80 seconds in the final on Saturday 14 September 2024). With his time he achieved second place. I provide my take/perspective on his performance and contextualize it in terms of 1980 being on the shoe he held up for the cameras at the end of his race in the final of the 200 metres dash at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
