With my relatively small YouTube channel (1600 subscribers) I earn on average about $200/month. And almost all of this is based off an older catalog of "how to" videos that don't lose their relevancy that quickly. I don't have a niche or particular site, so my subscribers remain low while viewership is "decent". But I like what I do, and what I learn as I'm doing it, so it's a learning experience and some income on top. I do hope to produce more content in the future however.
