5 east tn towns to know. The Knox Metro Area is HUGE and offers WAY more options for places to live than simply just “Knoxville”. In this video, I am going to tell you about 5 of really cool East TN towns to know just outside of Knoxville, TN

NUMBER ONE - Seymour

Seymour - Seymour sits just between downtown Knoxville and Sevierville/Pigeon Forge. If you are wanting to have the best of Knoxville’s downtown life of restaurants, bars, University of TN sports, concerts and events AS WELL AS a home in close proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains - Seymour is a great option.

NUMBER TWO - Maryville

Maryville is a personal favorite of mine. Just south east of Knoxville, Maryville offers cute boutiques, quaint coffee shops, but also Target, Starbucks and both big box gym and boutique gym options.

NUMBER 3 - Sevierville

Sevierville - WOW, this is one I there is SO MUCH to say. First of all the one and only Dolly Parton is a Sevierville native! Which, I mean basically makes it awesome. If you want the option to be living on the side of a mountain in complete seclusion while ALSO being able to hit tourist attractions like wax museums, haunted houses, outlet shopping, and a variety of restaurants from chains to one offs - Sevierville is a GREAT option for you.

NUMBER FOUR - Oak Ridge

Oak Ridge - Oak Ridge is roughly 25 miles west of downtown Knoxville with a population of roughly 30,000. You may be thinking to yourself 25 miles!!?!?! BUT, remember, the Knox Metro Area is SPRAWLING. In fact, parts of Knoxville such as Karns and Hardin Valley are SUPER convenient to Oak Ridge. Oak Ridge City Schools are highly regarded similarly to Maryville City Schools.

NUMBER 5 - Morristown

Morristown - True story, both my parents are from Morristown. Morristown offers a quaint downtown with old historic homes, while also offering waterfront living on the Cherokee Lake. Of all the towns listed, it has the most “small town feel” even though it is similar in population to Oak Ridge at right around 30,000 people.

Alright we did it - 5 towns (or areas) just outside of Knoxville that are great options for people moving to the East TN area. Let me know in the comments below which of these is the one you would most like to visit. Make sure to like and subscribe with the bell so that you’ll be the first to know when I post something new. I’ve got so much more to tell you about life and real estate in Tennessee, so I’ll see you at the next video.
