The CPCAB Counselling Research Award Winner for 2020 was Kirstin Bicknell for her research titled 'Laughter in Therapy: An Exploration of How Therapists Experience Client Laughter'.

The CPCAB Counselling Research Award is an award presented by CPCAB at the annual BACP Research Conference. Each year it is awarded to research deemed to be important to counselling training or counselling practice. The annual video documenting the winning research aims to help counselling trainees and practitioners' access and engage with the research.
