This design shows how to incorporate open V grooves and cut art into multiple opening mats. They can help visually unite openings, add interest and avoid awkward empty spaces. NOTE: In the original design, the inner portions of the green mat were closer together and cut as one piece. If you'd like to do that, just move them closer together than what was shown in the video so that they overlap a bit.
