Former Minister of Economy, Planning and Development, Juan Ariel Jiménez, declared on Al Mediodía with Mariotti and Company that the government increased spending by more than 131,803 million pesos.

He said from the United States that the fiscal and constitutional reforms are not a “playful” activity but to correct social problems that affect citizens.

He said that the government has not said what the reforms are for, what they want to achieve and the consequences for the country.

He pointed out that if the fundamental problems are the high cost of living, unemployment, crime and others, we must see how the constitutional and fiscal reform help to solve those problems.

Juan Ariel Jiménez indicated that a saving of 200 million due to the reduction of deputies is “cheles” compared to the increase in spending of 131,810 million, and that the same happens with the merger of institutions.

Juan Ariel Jiménez asked what to do with putting forward a candidate for reelection and the tax reform means more expensive food, more taxes and bankruptcy of companies, without knowing what is sought with this.

The member of the Political Committee considered that a tax reform is to reduce expenses.
