The Story of this Song
"On December 28th, 2020, my brother found my mother unresponsive. She was transported to a hospital in Visakhapatnam where it was discovered she had suffered from a stroke and was in a coma. Those were dark days. I was so far from my family and felt so helpless and lonely as I kept checking for updates and praying for God to come through in a miraculous way. I kept praying and asking God to give me peace. I prayed for His peace and joy for myself and for my family over and over both then and in the following months as step by step my mom had small breakthroughs and God's faithfulness shown through.

"During that time on January 3rd, 2021, I wrote down my prayer. The prayer asks God to rebuild my life that had fallen apart. God already knows my deeds and thoughts and I asked him to stabilize my steps. God is a good God and he is good to me. I asked him to have mercy on me. I told God how morning and noon I meditate on His Word and throughout the night I pray to Him and spend time in His presence. I asked Him to hear my cry and take away my worries.

This prayer became a song. As I was thinking about it and working on it, God laid on my heart that it could be used to help people cry out to Him as well. I had written it in this dark time, but it shows the hope and peace that only He gives. These past few years have been so difficult for many people around the globe. Many people are drowning in worries and unknowns. All of us need peace. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." -Matthew 11:28 NIV. Psalm 16:11 says, “You (God) make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” and “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13.

This song is a prayer asking for God's peace, joy, and comfort. Just like me, you also might be praying for peace, joy, and comfort for yourself or for your family. May you find comfort in Him and in His Word. I pray He will use this song and these words to touch many hearts and draw many close or even closer to Himself.
