Hello my dear friends🙂
I just finished the 10th row of logs and now I only have to finish the last 3 rows! The gaps you may have noticed on the walls are there because some logs are too short, so I made gaps on the walls where the windows and doors will be in the future.
I have to say that scribing a wall with gaps takes much more time than scribing a log that is in one piece, because it takes more time to set up and measure. But I'm glad that I now have experience with scribing logs that are not in one piece.
In the next episodes, I will be cutting out the window and door openings, carving a groove in the openings for reinforcement with wood lath, and installing the log columns on the front porch. I'm really looking forward to it.
I am very happy that you like my work so much, I also really appreciate that you support me in the comments and it motivates me even more to continue. Thank you my dear friends!
...and as always, if you want additional information for the video, you can turn on optional subtitles in the video. Enjoy🌲

More about me:
When I was 20 years old, I dropped out of college and said to myself that I will do what I really want and what I see meaning in. So I decided to build my dream log cabin, all by myself, in the middle of an off-grid bush.
After I left school, I went to work for a while to earn money for trees and hand tools. I spent all the money I earned and my savings on it. Thank God, I already owned the land I have - I got it from my dear parents as a gift a few years ago and later I also bought another big part of the land with my own money. So this property is mine, I'm alone on it and completely off grid. There is no water or electricity connection.

I chose a log cabin for my home because I like it. I build it with the vision of living a simple and peaceful life in it. Having time is more important to me than having money. Of course, nowadays a person cannot live without money, but I would like to live in such a way that my expenses are not so high and thus reduce the need for money. I want to have time not only for myself, but also for my future wife and children. That's why I will try to build the most self-sufficient life possible, in which my own housing, in my case a log cabin, will be the heart of this system.

I use hand tools because they are my favorite. There is beauty in simplicity.
Working with hand tools has several advantages: You are able to work off-grid, the entire set of tools you need can fit in one bag, there is better safety when you work alone, you don´t make too much noise when you´re working... so I enjoy it more and I believe you will too, while watching :)
Sometimes you will still see me use power tools for some things where I can't avoid it completely, such as drilling through metal roofing or welding, but otherwise I will always try to use primarily hand tools.
My dear father is a carpenter. I remember that most of the things he taught me while working with wood were precisely while working with hand tools, which required the most attention and practice from me.
My father taught me how to work with wood from a young age, but I have no experience with building a log cabin, so I'm learning everything as I go, and I'm looking forward to what this experience will teach me.

It may not seem like it, but it was a big struggle to get this opportunity to be able to work on my dream, but I finally did it and for that I am incredibly grateful. I also started this YouTube channel where I share my entire journey, so if you are interested, you can check it out. There is no one behind the camera, so I do all the filming and editing myself. I would also be very grateful if you would support my journey by subscribing or sharing, if you want to.
Thank you for being here, I really appreciate it and I'm glad you're watching. I will try to make videos as best as I can, so that you get the greatest enjoyment from them.
Thank you all for your attention. Enjoy!
