Abhout Dhanushkodi: Dhanushkodi is one of the most amazing places to visit in Rameshwaram district of Tamil Nadu. It is an abandoned town at the south-eastern tip of Pamban Island of the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It is south-east of Pamban and is about 24 kilometres west of Talaimannar in Sri Lanka. The town was destroyed during the 1964 Rameswaram cyclone and remains uninhabited in the aftermath.

About Arichal Munai: Arichal Munai is the point where the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean meet, is visible at the very tip of Dhanushkodi.
Amazingly, this is where India’s territory stops, yet Sri Lanka is only 15 kilometres away. The origins of Dhanushkodi can be found in Hindu mythology. In this location, you can see where Ram Sethu first appeared. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Hanuman’s monkey army built Ram Sethu here for Lord Rama.
