Violent clashes broke out between pro-Palestine demonstrators and pro-Israel counterprotesters outside a Los Angeles synagogue Sunday.

One individual was arrested, cited and released for having a spiked post, according to police. They added that officers will conduct additional patrols around places of worship.

President Joe Biden and other leaders weighed in Sunday, including California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who said there was “no excuse for targeting a house of worship” and that “antisemitic hatred has no place in California.”
