At the 1989 Benefit Concert in Piercy, CA near the Eel River for the nearby Hog Farm Commune, promoted by Bill Graham and Wavy Gravy, Wavy entertains the local media.
At the first Woodstock Festival, Wavy and the Hog Farm collective accepted festival executive Stan Goldstein's offer to help with preparations. Wavy made announcements from the concert stage throughout the festival. He later wrote in his memoir that "the reason that I got to do all those stage announcements was because of my relationship with Chip Monk. Chip built the stage at Woodstock."
