Centuries ago, shey was the capital of the then Maryul kingdom. Successive kings have ruled Ladakh kingdom, shey been its capital. People of shey village has a high regard in the history of Ladakh and their prestige and generosity were quintessential among other people of Ladakh kingdom.
In this junglu, the public/youth/folks of shey village are been recognized as the foremost in owning the precious dragon brocade,(dugris e koschen) golden hat(serkyang e thod), woollen sash(bandum tzasar) etc.

This junglu series is aimed to make the youth of Ladakh know about its rich folk song history in English with the given subtitles.
Several days and night went into making the videos especially the translation part. Regular correction and consultation were made to make the English subtitle as simple as possible and apt to convey the right meaning of the song/junglu.
