It was the first capital of British East Africa, before Nairobi was elevated to capital city status in 1907. It now serves as the capital of Mombasa County. The town is known as "the white and blue city" in Kenya.
Mombasa City and Mtwapa Town are located in Kenya, very popular touristic destinations which are normally flooded with both local and international tourists. They have both all different kinds of apartments, Hotels, Clubs, Beach apartments, Lodgings and are located in strategic places with access to many beaches within the Kenya's coast. Mtwapa operates in a more international way and it is known for a very vigorous night life. Currently, Mtwapa is changing into many other different activities and businesses taking shape including real estates, Boutiques, medium business trading and therefore creating a lot of other sources of income apart from the popular night life.
