Part two of the shower refurbishment. Here I repair the holes in the wall where the previous shower valve had been attached with tap fittings. I discuss and show you how to do shower wall TANKING, that is WATERPROOFING. This is a three stage process and a tanking kit is used together with a waterproof tape system called "no more leaks". (Please note that I have not been paid for using these tanking systems, but came across their use when researching waterproofing systems for walls made of plasterboard or wood and watching other YOUTUBE videos.) These systems are designed to protect the walls from water damage. I believe that on a boat these systems are critical to protecting the structure and the prevention of water leaks, mould and other damage.
I also cover the measurement and cutting of the shower boards.
I hope you enjoy the film and if you are planning to do any shower upgrades yourself find the film informative and helpful.
Thank you for watching.
PS Part three will be uploaded very shortly on this channel.
