Show don't tell is one of the golden rules of writing, same as "write what you know" and "bring a pistol to any meeting with a literary agent." Showing helps create stronger emotional connections to your work and makes the reader less likely to donate your book to an orphanage for a tax break.

New authors often struggle with it, however. In this video, I'll break down some ways to help you, like using fewer adjectives, using stronger verbs and writing embarrassing details from your personal life that you wouldn't share with anyone.

As always, please like and subscribe and don't forget to check out my other videos on writing advice.
