A big drop in cold temperatures hit France this Friday. A small low pressure minimum formed in southern Germany, producing an area of active and especially persistent rain on the Franco-German border. The rain started falling on Thursday evening and continued until Friday evening – for 24 hours – with sustained intensity. Bas-Rhin and Moselle were the most affected.
