The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition is a monstrously powerful gaming phone, although that’s not the main story here.

Compared to previous iterations, Asus has decided to scale back the gawky design in order to appeal to those beyond hardcore gamers.

It makes sense for Asus to chase a wider market rather than ardently sticking to a niche, but is the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition in danger of alienating its loyal fans?
