FTTH deployments are mainly driven by our aim to connect customers as quickly as possible. We try constantly to bring more efficiency to our processes with the goal of getting technicians. in the field to start trenching, installing ducts/pipes, laying cables, splicing and connecting
customers. With most of the CAPEX being consumed in the construction phase of the network, why wouldn’t we focus on this part of the process? Although this focus isn’t a wrong thing to do, why do so many roll outs overlook many critical pre-construction activities, especially in the
planning phase?
