Lord Savitar has sovereignty over Hasta. The Gayatri mantra, the most sacred mantra, is dedicated to him. The mantra is “Oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ. Tat savitur varenyaṃ. Bhargo devasya dhīmahi. Dhiyo yo naḥ pracodayāt” which translates to “we choose the Supreme Light of the divine Sun (Lord Savitar); we aspire that it may impel our minds”. Here’s another translation: “May we attain that excellent glory of Savitar the god: So may he stimulate our prayers”. The one who recites the Gayatri mantra remains uninjured even in the worst calamity. Lord Savitar is invoked for wealth, good health, protection, and long life. He has his arms wide open for the one who seeks his blessing, he’s adored by one and all.
