My first trailer for a film in color!

It's all downhill from here.

This movie, from 1948, makes every other movie look pathetic.

I'm kidding, kind of.

I think The Red Shoes is arguably (from what I've seen) the best looking film of all time. There's really only a handful of color films, that I can think of, that are in the same universe visually as The Red Shoes. For me, at least. Singin' in the Rain, Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Playtime, Ozu's filmography...maybe a few others. But, this stands out among them. It's beautiful. I don't really have the words, for I am no critic, but it is just a pleasure to watch and was a pleasure to make a trailer for.

I was pretty close to just uploading the 15 minutes dance sequence which I think is equal in stature to the broadway melody sequence in Singin' in the Rain. They're the two most mind-blowing sequences I've ever had the pleasure of experience in the movie theatre.

Look, I really like Singin' in the Rain, okay?
