The Zambia Army has condemned some recruits in Mufulira from Tung Up Barracks who engaged in acts of violence in the Central Business District against civilians.

The incident resulted in injuries and damage to property.

The Army Commander says the Army is mandated to serve and protect the people of Zambia and any actions that violate its mandate are unacceptable and will not be condoned.
