Uplistsikhe ("the lord's fortress") is an ancient rock-hewn town in eastern Georgia, some 10 kilometers east of the town of Gori, Shida Kartli.
Built on a high rocky left bank of the Mtkvari River, it contains various structures dating from the Early Iron Age to the Late Middle Ages, and is notable for the unique combination of various styles of rock-cut cultures from Anatolia and Iran, as well as the co-existence of pagan and Christian architecture.

Batumi is the best place for a seaside vacation in Georgia, especially during its “velvet season” in early autumn when the weather is warm but not too hot. Forbes Magazine even ranked Batumi in the top five best places to stay at a resort for “velvet season”. However, Batumi is worth visiting any time of year, regardless of whether you’re here for business or pleasure. The American Hospitality Academy even deemed Batumi as “the place best suited for tourists” in Georgia as far back as 2012.

Georgia, a country at the intersection of Europe and Asia, is a former Soviet republic that’s home to Caucasus Mountain villages and Black Sea beaches. It’s famous for Vardzia, a sprawling cave monastery dating to the 12th century, and the ancient wine-growing region Kakheti. The capital, Tbilisi, is known for the diverse architecture and mazelike, cobblestone streets of its old town.
