Definition 1: Magnification factor is defined as a ratio of amplitude of vibration due to harmonic force to the amplitude of vibration due to static force.
Definition 2: Magnification factor or dynamic factor is also defined as a factor by which amplitude of vibration due to static force must be multiplied in order to get the amplitude of vibration due to harmonic force.
