Hola friends! I left Holbox today to go to Valladolid Mexico. I met some wonderful friends in my hostel, deciding to wake up early, rent some bikes, and bike to 3 nearby cenotes! There are so many cenotes in the area that you can easily get to by bike! It was about a 30 minute bike ride to the first area which held two cenotes for the price of one! The very first cenote we went in but did not swim in was called 📍Cenote Samula. This is the cenote that the guide informed me was one of the oldest and first found in all of the Yucatán! The next one blew my mind as we walked down the steps to this cenote almost all to ourselves! This one was called 📍Cenote Zkeken. It was such a nice refresher before jumping back on our bikes for another 10-15 minutes to the third a final cenote of the day which was called 📍Cenote Oxnan. One the way to this one, we stopped for some coconut water from a local who taught us all about his farm, lifestyle, and painted rocks. He was so adorable and loved sharing his home and culture with us! We passed by a fourth cenote called 📍Cenote Saamal but did not stop for this one. At Oxnan, we swam, jumped of the rope swing, and got to sit and eat food included in our entrance ticket (details explained in the video).

I was falling in love with this town from the second I stepped off the bus. It is so colorful, charming, and full of life! Make sure to stay tuned for the following videos showing for of the town and chicken Itza!

I have had 2 jobs since I was 15 years old and made sure to save at least 90% of that for travel and school. I always have a temporary job when I am home but hope to be able to travel full time to consistently make videos!
