With the government issuing the acceptance of necessity, the Indian Army is set to induct the Next Generation Main Battle Tanks (NGMBT). The tanks will be unlike any other that have come before it and will focus on new age technology that will cater for an evolving battlefield.

The trends show that these tanks will not only have the ability to tackle drones but will have the capability to deploy drones and loitering munitions. Besides this the tanks will have advanced network centric equipment that will help the tank crew virtually see through the proverbial fog of war.

Besides added firepower, protection and mobility (the hallmarks of a tank) the added intelligent systems will ensure survivability and domination of the tank as the system is made future proof.
