Germination

Turkey berry Seeds germinate well when it's sown in paper cups containing cocopeat. Sow nearly 100 seeds in a papercup containing cocopeat and then water it well and close it entirely with white polythene cover and then place it under a tree or shade house for 7 to 10 days.

Within 7 to 10 days seeds will germinate. Immediately after germination you can transplant the seedlings in portrays for grafting. Note; Don't use protrays for germinating turkey berry seeds, because turkey berry seeds won't germinate in protrays hence first germinate the seeds using papercups and after germination transplant them in protrays. ( Please watch the germination video at 0.56 card or at the end of the video).

Turkey Berry

Turkey Berry is a spiny perennial plant, and grows up to the height of 4 to 5 meters.

The germinated seedlings produce turkey berries on 120th day ( 4th month) after planting.

Turkey Berry plants grafting with brinjal plants

Turkey berry seeds are sown in paper cups containing Cocopeat and the seeds will germinate in 7 days.Then immediately transplant the germinated turkey berry seedlings in protrays

After transplanting the turkey berry seeds in protrays plant the brinjal in separate protrays containing cocopeat. Brinjal seeds will germinate in 7days.

Now grow both seedlings for another 18 days. Now the age of both Turkey berry seedlings and Brinjal seedlings will be 32 days and 25 days respectively.

Now graft the 32 days old turkey berry seedlings with 25 days old Brinjal seedlings using silicone grafting clips and they are placed inside shade net house where mist is provided. Grafting will be united in 5 days.

The grafted seedlings are ready for transplanting after 10 days from the date of grafting.

The grafted seedlings will produce Brinjal fruits after 90 days of transplanting.
