J performed on the zheng at Flushing Mall, Saturday, 24 Nov 2007. Changyuan Wang is his teacher. Before the show, he mentioned having stage fright and being nervous, but he did good. He had the tune memorized and even took a bow when he was done. It was his second time performing in public. The first time was for summer school, but the video recorded was barely audible and with too much background noise, as it was in a school auditorium and the camera was way back.
