Mapacci is part of the traditional Bugis Makassar wedding procession. Mapaccing comes from the word paccing which means clean. The bride and groom first go through the mapacci process. In this mapacci, the family includes father, mother, brother, grandfather, grandmother, uncle or aunt giving blessing to the bride and groom. The person who will give blessing is the person appointed by the previous mapacci committee.
