A much-awaited break from work, we merged our Diwali holidays with some annual leaves and set off to 10-day long holiday in a place that was in our bucket list for almost a decade “TAWANG, ARUNACHAL PRADESH”. The roads are predominantly good, except for few patches closer to Tawang.

And after witnessing the very first snow of 2022 in Arunachal Pradesh in Sela Pass (it was magical), we reached the paradise called “TAWANG”. Our brief itinerary looked like below:

Day 1: Acclimatize!! To set some context, you are climbing from 1500 feet in Dirang to 10000+ feet in Tawang in just 8 hours.

Day 2: Tawang Monastery(India’s largest and oldest monastery)-Bumla Pass (India China Border. Permit is needed to go here)-Ani Gompa/Nunnery

Day 3: Teesri Udaas Gurudwara-Sangaster/Madhuri Lake-Taksang Gompa

Day 4: Chill & spend the day in Dharma Café & New Market Area

Day 5: Ultimate Circuit: Tawang-Lumla-Zemithang-Sangaster Lake-Tawang

And with that we left Tawang, super content and with heart full of gratitude and joy! Hoping to come back and complete other circuits of Arunachal Pradesh. Stay tuned to our channel as we hop on to the next seven sister for some real taste of culture!
