How old were you when you found out that one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire was in Turkey?

We made this discovery here a few days ago!

After a season in Istanbul, we arrived in Ephesus: the city that was the second largest in the Roman Empire! We had no idea that Turkey was so rich in history, much less that we would find the most impressive ruins we have ever seen, both in grandeur and preservation.

Ephesus is about 1 hour from the coastal city of Izmir and not only boasts incredible and very well-preserved structures but also the streets of the ancient city, which makes the visit there like a trip back in time as you walk (or should I say slip? 😂) through its marble streets.

A must-see stop if you are passing through Turkey!!!
