During my travels in Oaxaca, I met Luis (we share the name) who is part of the Chontal community in the southern highlands of the state. After talking about my project with him, he invited me to the event that the people of his town, San Matías Petacaltepec, were planning to do to spread the gastronomy and culture of its people. They also invited me to spend a few days there.
So I packed my bags and went there, to visit them. They showed me the area and invited me to participate in their daily activities. As in all my trips, this kind of experience helped me to get to know people better from the places I visit and experience their human warmth.
It was a great experience, I was left with a great taste in my mouth and I look forward to visiting them again.
