Stabilized a punky burl cut-off that I couldn't bring myself to throw away and turned a decorative plate. Some say life is too short to turn junk wood but I like the challenge of taking something that would normally end up in the burl pile and trying to make it into something worth holding on to.

The wood was too large for my vacuum chamber so I soaked it in some stabilizing resin overnight and then cured it in the oven. Used a small amount of Alumilite Resin to fill the void left from a branch.
