This week we're traveling to Bangkok, Thailand.

On our first full day exploring Bangkok, I meet up with Toney at Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From there, we change money at SuperRich by the Bangkok Airport Rail Link and we head to our AirBnB by Ratchathewi Station (https://abnb.me/LflcZFRyeHb)

After we settle into our AirBnB we make our way to the nearest River Taxi station for Platinum Fashion Mall. We spend a few hours there going through each floor but not before we eat Go-Ang Pratu Nam Chicken Rice at the food court. Since Toney didn't get much sleep the night before we retired to our AirBnB and called it a day. 😋

For our second day in Bangkok we have breakfast at a famous local spot near The Grand Palace called On Lok Yun. Since we went so early there wasn't a line and they were nice enough to offer us a seat at one of the booths. We had a few of their best sellers but the standout was the steamed bread with kaya. The prices were fairly cheap so if you're looking to start your day with a light meal then this is the place. After breakfast, we made our way to K. Panich Sticky Rice and had the best mango sticky rice of the trip. When we finished our meal we went straight toward the Grand Palace. Make sure you follow the dress code and to avoid crowds, come early! We took some photos, saw the Emerald Buddha, and then walked toward the temple with the Reclining Buddha. It started to rain a bit so we took cover at Ports Coffee. I had my first Thai iced tea and then we went back to the AirBnB.

In the afternoon, we hopped on a Bolt to get to Warehouse 30 to check out the select shops and art galleries. Then we walked toward Talat Noi to check out the street art that lined the alleyways. Since we still had time we hung out at Hong Sieng Kong and arrived around golden hour. At night we spent some time at Foojohn Jazz Club nearby.

On our last full day in Bangkok, we set our sights on Chatuchak Weekend Market, cafe hopping around Ari and having Toney watch a Muay Thai match for free. Safe to say that if you go early to Chatuchak, you get first dibs and no crowds. For lunch, we came across Lay Lao, a famous Thai restaurant in Ari. I can recommend their signature purple drink 😋 In the afternoon I visited Poet House Cafe, Gump's Ari Community, Nana Coffee Roasters, and qraft. (Ari soi1). In the evening Toney and I met up and spent an hour walking around Bangkok Art and Culture Centre.

The next day we booked a Thai cooking lesson at House of Taste. It was an easy 3-hour lesson done in English where we got to make new friends from Australia, England, and China. I highly recommend joining one of their classes since I found it to be well worth the money :)
