ప్రఖ్యాతి గాంచిన గౌతమ మునివర్యులు జనక మహారాజుగారి ఆస్థానమునకు విచ్చేసిరి,జనక మహారాజు మరియు అతని ఆస్థాన మంత్రులు అతనిని ఆహ్వానించిరి, కానీ సీతాదేవి అతనిని చూచి తన ముఖమును త్రిప్పుకొనెను .గౌతమ మునివర్యులు అతని భార్య అహల్యను శిక్షించి ఆమెను రాయిగా మార్చినందుకు అతనిని నిందించెను .గౌతమ మునివర్యులు ఆసంఘటనను జ్ఞప్తికి తెచ్చుకొనిరి ,మునుపు ఒక రోజు గౌతమ మునివర్యులు సూర్య నమస్కారము గావించుటకు తన ఆశ్రమమును విడిచి వెళ్ళెను .ఆసమయములో అహల్య ఇంద్రునితో కలసిఉండటం అతను ఆశ్రమమునకు తిరిగి వచ్చినపుడు చూసిన సంఘటన జ్ఞప్తికి వచ్చెను.కానీ ఇంద్రుడు ఆ సమయములో ఆమెపై మోహముతో ఆమె భర్తగు గౌతమ ముని వేషధారణలో అక్కడికి వచ్చి ఆమెను మోసగించెను .అహల్య తన భర్తవేశములో దేవేంద్రుడు ఆమెను మోసగించెనని అందులో ఆమె తప్పిదం ఏమి లేదని తెలిపెను,కానీ గౌతముడు అందుకు అంగీకరించక ఆమెను రాయిగా మార్చెను.సీతాదేవి గౌతమ మునివర్యులను గౌరవించుటకు నిరాకరించెనుమరియు అతనిని ఆమె గురువుగా అంగీకరించుటకు నిరాకరించెను.దశరథ మహారాజు తన కుమ్మరుడైన శ్రీ రాముడి రాజ్యబహిష్కరణ తర్వాత తన కుమారుడి లేని జీవితం అతనికి నరకంగా కనిపించెను.

Rishi Vashista reaches his ashram alongwith Ram, Bharat, Lakshman and Shatrughna. Ram expresses a strong desire to seek knowledge. In Ayodhya, King Dashrath and his queens are anxious about their children, particularly Ram. Ram asks Vashista the meaning of Religion. In Kailash, Parvati questions Shiv that when everyone knows the truth about Ram, why is he seeking knowledge. Shiv answers that once he has taken the form of a human, he has to perform as a human on earth. Arundhati, the wife of Rishi Vashishta, informs that the royal palace has sent food for the children, which is refused by Ram. In Janak’s palace Dharti manifests herself before Sita and Sita who appears as Laxmi states that she will meet her consort in this form. The three queens of Ayodhya alongwith King Dashrath arrive at Vashista’s ashram to fix the thread ceremony of the children when Dashrath watches Ram practice archery, he is reminded of the Shravan kumar episode. Mandodari mentions to her brother Ravan that though he is a scholar, he has trained his sons as wamors. King Janak informs his wife Sunayna that he has invited Rishi Gautam to the palace to train Sita on the decorum of the royal palace.

Vishnu Puran is an Indian television series on Lord Shri Vishnu. It is based on the Vishnu Purana, an ancient collection of stories and scripture. Vishnu Puran tells of 10 incarnations of Vishnu, as well as other stories.
