The "smart" part of Smart TVs is often a bane rather than a boon in enjoying our television. Full of ads, potential spyware, and slow and glitchy UI/UX caused by outdated computer parts inside. Then again, it gets the job done, albeit with certain compromises. And like some of you, I also thought getting an external TV box would be redundant and wasteful. But boy did my mind change when I finally tried one!

Apple TV breathed new life into our 6-year-old TV. Who knew that's what 4K is supposed to look like? 'You mean to tell me our internet connection is fast enough? And damn, this buttery smooth navigation! It unlocked the things our Skyworth has been capable of, features that were advertised but never really delivered because of the TV's poor internals.

But alas, we've reached the point where our TV is hindering what Apple TV is capable of. All the perks that come with an HDMI connection like CEC, ARC, HDR, and what have you, our Skyworth sadly lacks...which brings us to our video next week. Stay tuned ;)
