Metrology has taught everyone to measure, that it is key to measure parts to determine if they are in or out of specification. However, Metrology doesn’t tell you what to do with out-of-specification parts, as they may still be good parts. It doesn’t tell you how best to determine where you measure, or what to do with the data you collect afterward.

These questions; where do we measure, how are we sure these are bad parts, what do we do with the data afterward, came up time and again highlighting the challenges still facing manufacturing today.
