In 2018, Anton and I went on an exciting adventure to Japan to explore the world of Kumiko, a traditional Japanese woodworking technique. Through emails and Instagram exchanges, we connected with Naoki Ikoshima, an incredibly talented Kumiko master. Naoki San warmly welcomed us into his workshop, where we spent five immersive days learning from him and getting hands-on with Kumiko. We even had the chance to create our own Kumiko screens!
